Question to you all

So, I've been in an art slump. I want to draw, I do. 
I manage to sketch something! ....I have no urge to scan it and color it in.
I have sketches that I could color! .....No urge.
I have finished something! ........Bleh.

But, as I was browsing around DA, I was introduced to an idea that I'm unsure of.
That idea is....basically coloring over parts of the MLP comics?
So like, I'd be basically digitizing/coloring the panels in my style. It'd only be one panel at a time, and I'd never ever credit it as mine. It belongs to IDW and all of the comics' writers.
I do feel like it'd help me do SOMETHING instead of sitting here like a lump, but at the same time I'm wary of posting it?
It's...odd.

What do you guys think? Would it be a bit much? Is it not as big a deal as I fear it to be?
Would you guys even want to see it if I DO make them?
